If you want to enjoy Chiang Mai but prefer to stay a little bit outside of the city in an absolutely lovely location, this is the spot for you! Ravinan's house and garden are both beautiful and within easy walking distance of wonderful restaurants--both fancy and inexpensive--try them all! There are many local markets as well. Plenty of amazing attractions in the area (don't miss the botanical gardens, the Ma Sae waterfalls and the local breathtaking temple complex (literally right around the corner), Wat Pa Dara Phirom. It's an easy drive into the city and Ravinan's recommended driver is lovely and affordable.

This was by far the best AirBNB that we ever stayed in. From the small touches at the beginning (free water, chips, coffee, bread, etc.) to the fact that it was sparkling clean. We used a lot the driver service and it was always on time. Everything was working fine and the pool was refreshing. Thanks a lot for the fantastic stay in Chiang Mai.

Overall our first stay in Thailand was fantastic and we always make the most of what we have. Khun Jak (house manager) was amazing. Always punctual and attentive to all of our needs. Communications with Ravinan (owner) were impeccable.

The pool and natural oasis of the property was a relaxing a welcoming treat.

Cleanliness was a concern at this Airbnb and further suggestions have been provided to the owner. We spent quite a few hours cleaning before welcoming family that was joining us a day later.

The beauty of Mae Rim (although remote) will last in our memory for a lifetime.

There’s a great little restaurant (approximately 15 minute walk) called Steak of the Day that is highly recommended. This restaurant is located in the Mae Rim plaza that also is home to a lovely little breakfast/coffee shop called Omelette, and the daily market that serves fresh produce, meat and has a food court. Very local.

where to start ! such a fantastic place, very nice house, great locations for most places to visit around Chiang Mai, out of the Chiang mai city in a very peaceful environment, 5min walk to local market and last but not least, Jak the manager. he will be one of our best memory of Thailand, incredible hospitality, always here to help for anything we needed. we were 2 families with 4 kids, and we had the best possible time in this area.

This house is so delightful, bright and cosy! Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay tremendously. The kids just love the huge attic bedroom area and the very strong wifi up there was a big bonus!

Though it is away from town, there are lots of places of interests nearby which is accessible by using the transport available at our disposal at half (4hrs 1100baht) or full day (10hrs 2000baht) rate. Plan the places you wish to go or Khun Jak (Manager) will be able to recommend and Khun Noo (very patient driver) will take you there. Need to communicate w Khun Jak as Driver don't speak English. We were provided w a mobile to call him anytime, so thoughtful!

I must add that the places we were brought for lunch n dinner were absolutely fantastic, nice ambience and reasonable!

My husband and I stayed about a week in this wonderful home. The host, Ravinan, and her property manager, Khun Jak, were awesome. You name it they will make it happen. I had my concerns about staying outside of the city due to the communication barrier. But Ravinan and Khun Jak helped us arrange activities and transportation for everything we wanted to do. They even had a local cell phone available to use so reaching Khun Jak is super easy. The pool is so private and peaceful! The wifi was fast. The property also offers bikes to use during your stay. We found them handy. There are many things to do and see within a short bike ride such as orchid farms, Elephant poo poo paper park(it doesn't even smell), restaurants and a temple. The waterfall is close and it seems like it's within biking distance but it is a workout. If I find myself back in Thailand I will definitely try to book one of Ravinan's properties.
